Wee Pom /Raiderette Cheerleader Practice

Wee Pom / Raiderette Cheerleader practices will be held on every Tuesday of the football season. Practice will be from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm. The 1st practice is on August 17th.

School Work Day

Saturday August 14th from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm will be a school work day. Anyone interested in helping beautify our school is invited to attend. Please bring gardening tools and old clothes and paint brushes for painting. We really appreciate your help !

Junior High Football Sports Physicals

If you plan on playing Junior High Football you MUST have your completed school sports physical turned into the school by August 17th.

Water Coolers Needed

We are looking for some Water/Gatoraide coolers for Field Day on August 20th. If you would like to lend your cooler please let the office know by the 1st day of school ( August 17th).

Junior High & Raiderette Sports Physicals

Interested in playing Jr. High Football or being a Raiderette Cheerleader ( grades 4-6) ?
You will need to have your sports physical . Physical forms can be found on the DA website or can be picked up in the office.

Middle/High School Supplies for Spanish

Middle School:
3 prong folder with pockets
scissors
small box of crayons
glue stick ( Not liquid)

High School:
3 ringed binder (specifically for Spanish)
5 subject dividers
notebook paper
Spanish dictionary (Univ of Chicago is the best)
highlighters
pencils or pens

Tim Jantzi SAT Prep Course Offered

Tim Jantzi is offering a SAT Prep Course at DA on August 15, 22 & 29 from 6-9 pm. Registration will end on Wednesday, August 4th.

Orientation

Dorchester Academy will have their 2010 School Orientation on August 12th at 6:30 pm in the gym. All parents and students are invited to attend. Everyone will get to tour the school building and classrooms. You will want to come see how beautiful our building looks after a long hot summer of painting and landscaping !

Welcome to Another Year at Dorchester Academy

The 2010-2011 school year will begin for students on Tuesday, August 17. Many additions and changes have been made to the school including remodeled restrooms in middle and high school, complete exterior painting, hall and cafeteria painting, and adding brickwork to the gym.
Upcoming events include Orientation on Thursday, August 12, at 6:30 p.m. in the gym. All students interested in playing sports for the 2010-2011 school year at DA need to attend the orientation. Make sure and attend Orientation to see all the great things that have happened during the summer!
There will be a school wide workday on Saturday, August 14, from 8-12.

Lower School Supplies

Lower School students supplies will be purchased by the teacher. Each parent is asked to send $25.00 to cover their child's supplies for their class this year. Parents are asked to furnish a bookbag. The teachers will get all other materials except supplies for the art class.
