DA McDonald's McTeacher Night October 22nd 5 - 8PM

On October 22nd from 5 - 8 pm Dorchester Academy will celebrate McTeacher's Night at the McDonald's located in St. George on Jim Bilton Blvd. During this event, a group of teachers, staff,  parents and our Headmaster, Karen Neil, will be working at McDonald's - seating customers, taking food orders and serving dinner -- while the students get a chance to hear their teacher say, "Do you want fries with that?"
A portion of the sales made that evening will go directly to our school ! This could be one of the easiest fundraisers we do this year.  To make this fundraiser a success, we need to get as many school supporters out to the Golden Arches for a McTeacher Night Dinner.  Tell your neighbors !  Bring your family and friends to support DA !

Congratulations to Coach Stanley Gruber on Grandson !

Congratulations to Coach Gruber & family on the birth of Tanner Wilson Ruth on Wednesday, October 9th at 1:42 am. Tanner weighs 7.5 lbs 8oz and is 21 1/2 inches long.  Both Lynn and baby are doing well.

Wee Poms, Junior Poms, and Raiderettes Practice

Wee Poms, Junior Poms, and Raiderettes will practice tomorrow, Wednesday, October 9th after school until 3:00.  Please make sure you are present at this practice.  They will also perform at the Pep Rally on Friday, October 11th starting at 1:00.  Be sure to wear your maroon and gold and favorite pair of cowboy boots !

Spirit Week October 7th - October 11th

It is that time of year again. Homecoming !!! Please suport our school and players this week by participating in the Homecoming activities.

Monday: Come As You are Day (Wear your cutest pajamas and bring accessories)
Tuesday: Safari Day (Wear your animal prints, dress as an animal found in a safari, or as a guide to the Raider Safari)
Wednesday: Let Your Light Shine Day !! (Dress as your favorite rock star, music star, or celebrity)
Thursday:  Throwback Thursday (Dress in your favorite decade this day!!!)
Friday:  Maroon And Gold Day (Wear your school colors from head to toe)

Prizes will be given out each day to the most spirited Raider !!!

Wed., Oct. 2nd Chapel Speaker Jennifer Dake

Indian Field Campmeeting speaker, Jennifer Dake, will be the Chapel speaker at DA on Wednesday, October 2nd.  Everyone is invited to attend the 8:10 service.

Cow Drop Tickets Going Home Today.

Parents,
Please check with your child for the Cow Drop tickets.  They are being sent home today and should be returned by Wednesday,  November 6th.  Tickets are $20.00 each. Check with the office if you need extras.
The Computers For Education Booklets will also be coming home today.  Please have your friends & family fill them out.  DA will get $5.00 for each returned Booklet !

All DA Alumni records from before 2003 will be shredded.  The transcript only will be kept on file.  If you want anything from your records please contact the school office.

Oct. 20th Booster Club BBQ Dinner
