JV Basketball Games Cancelled Today. Varsity to Play.

JV Basketball games cancelled today due to weather.  Varsity Girls will play at 5:00 followed by Varsity Boys.  Varsity Girls need to be at the gym by 4:15.  Senior Boys will be recognized before their game.

SCISA Reported Weather Cancellations

Due to the forecast of inclement weather, the Spelling Bee, the State Debate, and the Using Technology Efficiently Workshop have been postponed.

New dates for the Middle School Regional Quiz Bowls, the State Spelling Bee, the State Debate, and the Using Technology Efficiently Workshop have not yet been determined.

Congratulation to Saylor Judy

Congratulations to Saylor Judy, president of the Dorchester Academy 4H Club, on being selected as a delegate to attend 4H Legislative Day 2014.  Saylor was one of twelve 4H members from across the state selected to go. 4H Legislative Day is sponsored by the State 4H Teen Council.  Youth will have the opportunity to observe the Legislature and Senate in action, meet with the Commissioner of Agriculture, Senators, members from the House of Representatives and the Governor's Office.

JV/Varsity Basketball vs Holly Hill

Please come out and support  our JV and Varsity Raiders as they take on the Holly Hill Raiders this afternoon with games beginning at 4:00.  Tonight is Senior night and our Senior boys and their parents will be recognized before their game.

Regional Middle School Quiz Bowl Postponed

Due to the threat of inclement weather, all Regional Middle School Quiz Bowls across the state are postponed and will be rescheduled

B-Team Game Time Change

The B-Team games scheduled for today have had a time change.  Girls will begin at 4:00 and Boys at 5:00.

Softball Practice Tuesday, February 11th at 5:30.

Postponed Weather Games:

The JV/Varsity Basketball games against Thomas Sumter have been rescheduled to Monday, February 10th.  Game time is 4:00.

The B-Teams will play Colleton Prep at Colleton Prep on Monday, February 10th.  Game time is 5:00.

Volunteers Needed for Region Basketball Tournament

Dorchester Academy will be hosting the JV and Varsity Region Basketball Tournament.  It will begin on Thursday, Feb. 13th and end on Monday, Feb. 17th.  We are looking for volunteers to help in the Concession Stand as will as provide snacks for our Hospitality Room for visiting coaches and officials.  If you would be interested, please contact the school.  Thank you for supporting Dorchester Academy Athletics !!!

DA To Host Region Basketball Tournament

Dorchester Academy will be hosting the 2014 Region Basketball Tournament for JV and Varsity.  The tournament will begin on Thursday, February 13th and run through Monday, February 17th including that Saturday.  We need all the HELP we can get.  If you are willing to help at the gate, concession stand, or supply a snack for our Coaches and Officials' Hospitality room, it would be much appreciated. We will be having 4 games each day with the first game starting at 3:30.  Please let the school, Penny, Coach Mark, Coach Anthony, Coach Murch or any Booster Club member know if you are willing to give your time.  Thank you in advance for supporting Dorchester Academy Athletics !!!
