Life Touch Pictures

Life Touch Pictures will be at Dorchester Academy on Tuesday, March 30th. All students will be photographed. Please notify your student's teacher if you do not want an individual portrait taken of your child. Your son or daughter may be included in any group portrait . Choose from 5 poses on the selection form and bring to school on Picture Day.
A portion of your purchase goes back to Dorchester Academy.

Board Nominations Update

Board Nominations were held Thursday night, March11. Those nominated were: Scott Garris and Richard Infinger. Since the meeting Harvey Kizer, Brian Shelton, Richard Hart, Frank Furtick and Tommi Lin Garrick have been nominated.

Nominations will remain open until Monday, March 15th @ 2:30pm. Please contact the school office with any questions or nominations.

Music Festival Winners

Congratulations to our students that participated in the Music Festival on Thursday, March11th. Over 800 SCISA students participated in this event.

Vocal -- Jacey Wagers and Rachel Peagler scored a Silver.

Guitar -- Jacey Wagers and Rachel Peagler both scored a Gold.

Piano -- Katey Schwendinger scored a Silver.
Jamie Collins, Rayce Hart, and Jacob Reeves all scored a Bronze.

Friday's Sports Announcements

JV Softball will be dismissed tomorrow (Friday March 12th) at 1:45 for their game at Calhoun Academy.

Varsity Softball will meet at 5:00 on Friday for their 6:00 game with Calhoun Academy at DA.

State Teacher of the Year Finalist

Congratulations to Heather Judy, who has been named a finalist in the SCISA state Teacher of the Year Awards program. Each year SCISA selects 3 candidates from the individual school's Teachers of the Year to compete for the state award. Heather is DA's high school social science teacher.
