Emily Hardee wins DA 2010 Homecoming Queen

Congratulations go to DA's 2010 Homecoming Queen, Emily Hardee sponsored by McKenzie Ammons. 1st runner up is Jordan Collier sponsored by Thomas McAlhaney. The rest of the Homecoming Court were Cayce Craven sponsored by Jamie Collins, Hannah Austin sponsored by Davi Wagers, Brianna Shuler sponsored by Michael Gruber and Taylor Hall sponsored by Jake Berry.

Laurence Manning Students

On Sunday, October 3rd three students from Laurence Manning died in a car accident outside of Manning. Students at Laurence Manning are in mourning for Cody Hall,15, and brothers Jessi and Cody Parnell,14 & 17. Both Cody Hall and Cody Parnell were members of the varsity football team. A memorial service has been scheduled at Laurence Manning on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. on the football field and at 4:00 p.m. in the gym. Visitation will be held tonight from 3:00 to 6:00 at Bullock Funeral home. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetary in Summerton.

Coach Gruber T- Shirts

The DA Booster Club is selling "I WAS THERE WHEN COACH GRUBER MADE HISTORY" t-shirts for $12.00 each. They come in Youth ( including YXL) and Adult sizes, and are available this week in the school office. They will also be for sale at the Homecoming Game Friday night ! Show your Raider spirit and pride by purchasing a t - shirt to wear to the football game.

Basketball Conditioning

Basketball Conditioning will begin on Wednesday, October 6th. It will be held every Wednesday and Sunday during the month of October. Time will be 7:00 - 8:15. This will be for both Junior Varsity and Varsity girls and boys.

Sports Pictures

Wee Poms , Junior Poms and Raiderettes pictures will be taken on Tuesday, October 12th beginning right after school. Payment must be made at that time.

ACT at DA

On Saturday, December 11th the ACT will be given at DA. Students will need to register online at http://www.actstudent.org/.

Paving School Parking Lots

The school parking lots will be repaved this Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday, September 30th thru October 3rd. No cars will be allowed in the school parking lots. Please use the Josh Canaday Drive and Student parking areas for the Volleyball and Junior High Football games.
