Orangeburg Regional Medical Center Offers Ecocardiogram Screening

The Orangeburg Regional Medical Center is providing ecocardiogram screening for area high school and college athletes (ages 14-22).  The cost is $50 per athlete.

The screening will be held at the HeathPlex at RMC (3000 St. Matthews Rd) on Saturday,
 February 2.  Times are 8:30 am - 2:00 pm.  (Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult).

Basketball Players of the Week by Lynn and Mark Fralix

JV Girls:  Hannah Creel - Hannah had to play both guard and forward for us this week due to illness on the team and came up big leading the team scoring.  She also came up with some crucial steals and we were able to take advantage of these and score.

Varsity Girls:  Crystal Wilds did an awesome job this week slowing up the opponent's fast break.  She executed our defensive strategy as well as a coach could ask for.

A big congratulations go out to all 4 of our basketball teams for their victories over Holly Hill on Friday night.
Congratulations to our Players of the Week:  Week of January 1st.

JV Girls:  Hannah Creel - Hannah stepped up big helping us pull out our 2nd conference win over Holly Hill with 9 rebounds, 4 points and 3 steals.

Varsity Girls:  Ashlyn Fralix - Ashlyn made some awesome passes to our inside girls, Julia and Julianna, for the easy buckets.  She shot well from the outside and drained a few free throws at the end of the game to seal our win over conference rivals - Holly Hill.

JV Boys:  Cole Cleland added 12 points to the win.

Varsity Boys:  Jordan Weathers had 14 points and 17 rebounds.

Players of the Week by Lynn and Mark Fralix

JV Girls:  Madelyn Fender - Madelyn continues to be a strong leader on the court playing aggressive defense, creating steals, and running point guard to set up our offense and beat the press.  She gave me 100% effort in the LMA Christmas Tournament as we finished Tournament Runner's - Up.

Varsity Girls:  Julia Smoak - Sub-Freshman, Julia Smoak, is stepping up big for our Varsity team scoring and rebounding in double digits for the last 4 straight games.

Congratulations to Julia Smoak, Tayler Barcomb, Daniel Fralix and Stokes Brownlee for being named to the "All Tournament" team as both Varsity teams finished Tournament Runner's-up in the LMA Christmas Tournament.

The B-Team Christmas Tournament will be held on December 20-21.  Please come out and support our B-Teams and the Booster Club.

The JV and Varsity teams will participate in a tournament at Laurence Manning on December 27-28.

Allie Berry - Allie stepped up big for us this week on both offense and defense.  She is taking good shots and creating multiple turnovers with her aggressive defense.

Varsity Girls :
Holly Clayton - Holly got good playing time this week and helped us out as she pulled 15 rebounds, scored 19 points, and grabbed 9 steals.
