Half-day Aftercare Hours

Aftercare will be available on half - days December 18th, 19th, and 20th.  The cost is $10.00 per day per child.  Please let the school office or Mrs. Kathy Shuler know asap if your child will be attending on these days.  No lunch will be provided but they will be given an afternoon snack. 

SCISA North/South All-Star Football Team

Congratulations to Coby Berry, Vance Collier, and Jordan Weathers for being chosen to the SCISA North/South All-Star Football team. They will play at Orangeburg Prep on Saturday, December 7th at 12:30.  We wish them Good Luck !!!

Football Coach Position Open

Dorchester Academy is taking applications for a full time football coach/teacher or a part time football coach.  Applications will be taken through January 31, 2014.  Forms are available on the school website www.dorchesteracademy.org under the forms/applications/employment link.  Applications may be submitted online to headmaster@dorchesteracadmy.org or mailed to Headmaster, 234 Academy Rd., St. George, S.C.  29477.

The DA Garden has an abundance of Broccoli ! We are offering  "Pick Your Own" Broccoli on the honor system. Cost is $5.00 for a gallon zip-lock bag.  Please pay at the school office. Proceeds will go to support the DA garden.

Supper With Santa

Supper With Santa on Monday, December 9th at 6:00 pm.  Join us in the Cafeteria for chicken tenders, grits, & biscuits.  Have your picture made with Santa. Cost is $15.00 per family on or before November 16th and $20 after Nov. 26th and at the door.

Basketball Volunteers Needed

Basketball season is upon us.  We are looking for volunteers to run the clock during games.  If you would be interested in helping with the clock, please let us know.

B-Team Basketball Meeting

Coach Richard Infinger will be at the school on Wednesday, November 20th around 11:30 to speak to those boys and girls interested in playing B-Team Basketball.

JV/Varsity Basketball Practice

JV/Varsity boys will practice Tuesday -- right after school and 5:00 Wednesday.
JV Girls will practice Tuesday @ 6:00.
Varsity girls will practice at 7:30 on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Cow Drop Reminder !

4th Annual Cow Drop & Chili Cook Off  Thursday, November 7th at 6:00 pm.

•  Admission $3.00 for adults.  Admission tickets will be entered into a drawing for a stainless steel gas grill.
• 1st Board approved fundraiser counting towards your $300.00 fundraising requirement.
• Tickets must be turned in by 3:00 Wednesday, November 6th.
• Please turn in volunteer forms to the office.
• Donations of cakes, baked goods, and Country Store items turned in to office by 2:00 Thursday, Nov. 7th.
• Chili Cook-off entries call Tressa Sosebee 560-0749 to enter your pot of chili. Chili may be donated without entering contest.

Varsity Football Team Wins Over Holly Hill !

Congratulations to our Varsity Football team for their great victory over Holly Hill Raiders.  We will now advance to the first round of play-offs.  We will play at home Friday night against Trinity Byrnes.  Volunteers are needed for the gates and concession stand.  If you are willing to work one of these, please let Mrs. Penny know.
