Varsity Football Game DVDs available

Missed that game, or just want to see it again? The Dorchester Academy Varsity football games are now on DVD. The halftime festivities including cheering and flag football, are included in the game against Colleton Prep. Game DVDs are $10.00 each. Please see the school office to purchase yours.

Football Concession Schedule

Football Concession stand schedules should be posted on the website. Please note time change for start time of shift. All parents should be at the concession stand for Varsity games by 6:00 and Junior High games by 5:45. The start times for games are 7:30 for Varsity and 7:00 for Junior High. Many people come early to eat, so please be on time. Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication to our Athletic Program.

Grandparent's Breakfast

The Academy will be hosting a breakfast in honor of our grandparents on Wednesday, September 8, at 7:15, followed by our first Chapel of the year. Reservation forms have been sent home with students. Please return them by Friday, September 3, so we can plan accordingly. Any parents who would be willing to make a sausage and egg breakfast casserole to help with this event, please notify the front office.

Junior High Pep Rallys

The Junior High Cheerleaders will have Pep Rallys from 2:00 -2:20 pm on these dates:

Sept. 9th
Sept. 23rd
Oct. 21st
Oct. 28th

Jr Pom Practice Cancelled

There will be no Jr Pom practice on Monday, September 6 due to the Labor Day holiday.

Flag Football

Grades 1st - 5th

Anyone interested in playing flag football is asked to meet on the football field on Wednesday, Sept.1 after school. Practice will last until 4:00 pm. Bring a change of clothes.

The 1st game will be played this Friday, Sept. 3rd during halftime of the Varsity Football game.

Booster Club Meeting Change

DA Booster Club will meet on Tuesday, September 7th at 6:00 due to Monday's holiday.

DA Wins SCISA Award

Dorchester Academy has won the SCISA 2010 Most Improved School Facility Award ! Larry Watt, executive director of SCISA, will be here at our Sept. 8 Chapel to present the award.
