Mrs. Jean (Mimi) Fisk

Dorchester Academy sends out condolances to the family of Mrs. Jean (Mimi) Fisk who passed away Thursday, May 2nd.  Mrs. Fisk is the grandmother of DA students Maggie and Hunter Steinbronn.
Viewing will be at Bryant Funeral Home Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and the service will be Sunday 2:00 p.m. at Summerville Baptist Church.

Athletics Awards Program for JV & Varsity Basketball, Softball, and Baseball Tuesday, May 21st at 6:00 P.M.

Cheerleading Try-Outs will be held May 17th.

JV and Varsity Softball to travel to Andrew Jackson Friday, May 3rd

Our JV and Varsity Softball girls will travel to Andrew Jackson on Friday.  Game time is 4:00.  Please take chairs if you are going to the game.

The Varsity Softball game for Monday has been cancelled by Cathedral Academy.  This was designated as our "Senior Night".  We will now plan to recognize our Senior Softball players and their parents at the May Day Program on Friday, May 3rd.  Please come out and support our Senior Girls !!!!!!!!!!

Varsity Baseball Team Plays Thomas Heyward Friday, May 3rd

Dorchester Academy Varsity Baseball Team will travel to Thomas Heyward for a doubleheader in the second series of the play-offs.  First game will begin at 4:00, second game to follow.  Please come out and support our Varsity Baseball Team.
If the games are split on Friday, DA will host Thomas Heyward on Saturday.  If anyone could possible help at the gate or in the concession stand on Saturday (if needed) please let the school know.

Dorchester Academy Accepting Applications

Dorchester Acdemy is accepting applications for the positions of:  Math teacher, Science teacher, Lower School teacher, Janitor, and volunteer football, volleyball, basketball, softball and baseball coaches.  Applications may be obtained at the school office or on the school website under the Forms/Applications menu and mailed to Headmaster, Dorchester Academy, 234 Academy Rd., St. George, SC  29477 or emailed to headmaster@dorchesteracademy.org.  Coaching applications are due by May 12.

Winter/Spring Athletic Awards Program

The Winter/Spring Athletic Awards Program will be held on Tuesday, May 21st at 6:00 p.m.  All athletes that played on the JV or Varsity basketball, baseball or softball teams are expected to be in attendance.

The JV and Varsity Softball teams will travel to Andrew Jackson on Friday, May 3rd.  They have asked that you bring chairs because they do not have bleachers right now.

Varsity Baseball Team Travels to Marlboro Academy

Congratulations to our Varsity Baseball Team.  They have made it to the first round of play-offs.  Dorchester Academy Raiders will travel to Marlboro Academy on Tuesday, April 30th for a doubleheader. Game times will be 2:00 and 5:00.
Marlboro Academy will provide lunch for our players at 12:30.  Varsity Boys will be released from classes at 9:45.

Teacher Appreciation Week April 29 thru May 3
