"Josh Canaday Drive"

Tonight, September 17th, at the DA Raider's football game the north driveway will be named the "Josh Canaday Drive" in honor & memory of Josh Canaday. Josh was an important member of the DA football and baseball teams. He was a sophomore at DA when he died (April 14, 2002) in an auto accident. A fund was set up by the DA Student Government to repair and improve the entrance to the Athletic Fields at DA. Josh's parents, Jackie and Rodney Canaday, have requested that Josh's retired #80 jersey be worn by a DA player. Tonight only, Grande Fender , #22, will wear #80.

September Board Meeting Date Change

The September 20th Board Meeting will be at 6:00 pm in the Conference Room.

Piano Lessons at School

Selena Barfield has begun teaching piano lessons at Dorchester Academy on Wednesdays. We have 1 slot left from 1:30-2:00 for a lower school student to attend. If you are interested, please let us know.

Make-Up Picture Day

Friday, September 17th will be make-up picture day. Pictures will be taken after the pep rally. Retakes will cost an additional $5.00 due when the picture is retaken.

Coach Gruber's 300th Win Approaches

In anticipation for Coach Gruber's 300th win, Dorchester Academy is in search of football players who have been on his teams during the years. We would like to have as many former football players at the home game on Friday, September 17, at 7:30, as possible. Get the word out. Tell your friends. We want to see as many of his former players at the game on Friday night in their jerseys as possible. Come out and support Coach Gruber.
