Jr. Prom April 26th

Dorchester Academy will host Jr. Prom for grades 2-9 pn Saturday, April 26th in the Shuler Gymnasium.

Grades 2-5  6:00-8:00 p.m.
Grades 6-9  8:00-11:00 p.m.

Forms are being sent home, but must be returned on or before Thursday, April 10th in order to receive a prom t-shirt.

Spring Golf Tournament Saturday, April 5th

Our Spring Golf Tournament that was cancelled last Saturday due to inclement weather has been rescheduled for this Saturday, April 5th, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Country Club of St. George.  The tournament is a 4 person team Captain's Choice with a shotgun start.  For more information contact Dawn Weeks at 843-560-0103 or Tressa Sosebee at 843-560-0749.

Spring Pictures April 7th

Charlie Tumbleston will be here Monday, April 7th to take Spring Pictures.  Individual, sibling and class pictures will be taken. Package forms are available in the school office.

Girl's State

Congratulations to Madelyn Fender and Chelsea Huff and alternates Annie Gentry and Laura Judy for being chosen for Girl's State. 

Booster Club Meeting Wednesday, April 9th 6:00 P.M.

Due to away baseball games on Monday and Tuesday of next week, the Booster Club will meet on Wednesday, April 9th at 6:00 in the Conference Room.  We would love to have a Standing Room Only Crowd.  Please sell and purchase your Steak Supper Tickets.  It will be held on Saturday, May 17th at the Utopia Club.  If you need tickets to sell, please see Beau Kennedy or a Booster Club member. 

The Spring Athletic Awards Program will be held on Sunday, May 18th at 2:00 in Shuler Gymnasium.

Dorchester Academy Employment Opportunities

Dorchester Academy is accepting employment applications for the 2014-2015 school year for math and science teachers, coaches for volleyball, basketball, junior high football, and janitorial workers. Football Signing For Coby Berry And Jordan Weathers

We will have the football signing for Jordan Weathers and Coby Berry on Sunday, March 23, at 2:30.  We are very proud of these fine young gentlemen and their athletic and academic accomplishments.  They will be attending Charleston Southern in the fall and play football.  Please congratulate these young men when you see them!!

No April PTO Meeting

There will be no PTO meeting in April.  However, the PTO is encouraged to help with the voting booth for Board Elections on April 21.  If you can help, please call the office at 563-9511.

Please note on your calendars that the date of the monthly Board meeting for April has been moved from Monday, April 21, to Wednesday, April 23, at 7:00 p.m.

PTO School Board Nominations

The PTO will accept nominations for School Board election through Wednesday, March 19, at 2:30.

The school student contracts will be accepted through 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2014.
